The Question : All AlongThe Watchtower #1  4/5 I picked this up unaware of the ALL IN connection. Glad I did.

FML #1 3.5/5 This was recommended. Definitely different.(once I learned what FML meant...)

Immortal Thor #17 5/5 This Al Ewing run is great.

Space Ghost #7  4.5/5 A surprisingly good title.  This one uses Blip to tell the tale.

 Jenny Sparks #4  4/5  Tom King fan here, so when he does a story on how to deal with a mad Captain Atom, I'm all in.

The Terminator  #2  3/5  This issue had an interesting premise, Terminators in the Vietnam War, but it fell a little flat for me.

Devour #1 5/5 I've been a fan of Geoff Johns way before he started his and Gary Franks "Ghost Machine" line, and this is the first I've read not written by him. Suffice to say this was a great read.

 

The Tin Can Society #1 4/5  I'm a bit of a latecomer to this title,but first impression is good. I'm going to get the next issue and see where it goes. Part murder-mystery and superhero story with kiddie nostalgia thrown in.

The Ultimates 1 3/5 Another book I picked up behind schedule, I think #6 is out now. I saw some other reviews I trust that recommended this, so I am going to give it a try.  As someone who doesn't read much Marvel these days, gotta say that the concept is interesting, and the characterization was good.

Saga #70   4/5 Like many books here, the reason they are here is because they are consistently good. So it goes...even the so-so issues of Saga are better than most books.

Poison Ivy #27  5/5 Never imagined I would ever read and love a mainstream book like this,but here we are. G.Willow Wilson has given us the definitive take on what was formerly a pretty boring character.

Kaya tpb #1  3/5 Took a chance on this from a recommendation I saw online. It's just OK in my book. Seems pretty reminiscent of a lot of books.

Happy Halloween!

Batman: The Last Halloween #2  3/5 Wasn't real enamored of this. Hard to catch lightning in a bottle twice. Artwork by Klaus Janson shows why he's best suited to inking. 

 Poison Ivy/Swamp Thing Feral Trees #1  4/5  Great artwork and a solid story by G. Willow Wilson.

 Redcoat # 7 5/5  Best comic I've read lately. A lot of heart, and a great wrap-up of this storyline. Highly recommended (the whole series!)

Conan the Barbarian #16   5/5 An exploration of Conan & his gods/faith. A great extension of  "The Frost-Giants's Daughter." Highly recommended.

The Moon is Following Us #2  4/5 While highly reminiscent of Gaiman's Sandman , the parental angst sets it apart. For now, I'll be sticking with this.

                                           

Absolute Wonder Woman #1  5/5 Now this is what i'm talking about! A true re-do of a classic character,which,in my estimation, is a character that's most in need of it.
